Digihost and Nautilus Partner on Community Solar Initiative

Digihost Technology Inc., a leading U.S.-based blockchain technology and computer infrastructure firm is thrilled to announce its pivotal role as the anchor commercial subscriber in Nautilus Solar Energy’s newly launched 5.5 MW community solar project located in Grand Island, New York

New Initiative to Provide Clean Energy to 850+ Local Residents

This innovative initiative aims to provide clean, affordable renewable energy to more than 850 local residents and businesses.

The Grand Island community solar project situated under 15 miles from Digihost’s New York facilities is projected to produce 8.35 million kWh of clean energy annually. This will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 6,000 metric tons, equivalent to removing 1,400 cars from the road each year. The project supports New York State's target of sourcing 70% of its electricity from renewable resources by 2030.

“As a company deeply committed to reducing our carbon footprint while advancing cutting-edge technologies, we are thrilled to be the anchor subscriber for this community solar project. This partnership and long-term commitment reinforce our mission to integrate sustainable energy solutions into our operations, not only benefiting our company but also for the local community and the planet. We are proud to play a role in advancing New York’s ambitious climate goals while contributing to a cleaner, greener future.” said Luke Marchiori, Chief Renewable Energy Officer of Digihost Technology Inc.

Digihost to Stabilize Solar Project via EnergyMark

By subscribing to this solar project through EnergyMark which manages the anchor subscribers, Digihost will help stabilize the project by providing a steady base for solar credit offtake. This support ensures the project can operate effectively and produce renewable energy for the community.

This subscription also supports long-term cost savings and aligns with Digihost’s DigiGreen Initiative which aims for net zero emissions from its BTC mining operations by 2030. Along with nearly emission-free electricity at its East Delavan facility, Digihost participates in several Demand Response programs to enhance grid reliability during peak times and further reduce carbon emissions.
