“We’re excited to have completed these innovative projects for Corporación Favorita and Grupo KFC,” said Pablo Lopez, CEO of SolarTeam.

Corporación Favorita Solar Complex

SolarTeam has completed the Corporación Favorita Solar Complex in Quito-Sangolquí, Ecuador. The project is designed to meet 100% of the renewable energy needs for 20 commercial premises. This photovoltaic project boasts a capacity of 2.4 MW DC and 2 MW AC, reflecting the highest standards of quality and environmental sustainability.

The installation features 4,368 Jinko panels each with a 550W capacity, and  it is supported by Huawei inverters (100 KTL, 60 KTL, and 40 KTL). This ambitious project underscores Corporación Favorita's commitment to renewable energy, and also sets a new benchmark for sustainable industrial practices in the region.

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Solar Farm

SolarTeam has also completed another groundbreaking solar project in El Inga, Quito, Ecuador, marking a significant milestone in commercial solar energy projects. This industrial-scale photovoltaic complex boasts a capacity of 2.5 MW DC and 1.29 MW AC, making it the largest commercial self-supply project in Ecuador.

The solar farm powers 26 KFC stores across Quito, which is a notable achievement as it is the first solar project in the region to generate power in a location separate from its energy demand. The project features 2,720 Jinko 550W solar panels and 40 Huawei inverters (60 KTL and 100 KTL), thus  reflecting a commitment to cutting-edge technology and sustainability in corporate energy solutions.

SolarTeam Achieves Milestone with Ecuador's Largest Corporate Projects

These projects represent a significant milestone for SolarTeam, marking the largest photovoltaic projects for both the company and within Ecuador's corporate history. PEG EW's efficient, high-density racking systems facilitated rapid deployment, enabling SolarTeam to deliver innovative and scalable solar solutions. The projects optimized land utilization, with the KFC project implemented in two phases. The second phase notably fulfills the entire energy demand of KFC's 26 store locations.
