MTN Cameroon has partnered with the Rural Electrification Agency (AER) to support the Cameroon government’s solar electrification program in rural areas. This initiative will provide electricity to 1,000 villages across the country, a significant step toward improving energy access in underserved regions.

Through a new partnership agreement, MTN Cameroon and the Rural Electrification Agency (AER) will support the government’s rural electrification goals. The collaboration focuses on installing solar kits in 1,000 villages—184 of which are already equipped—to power public buildings such as schools, health centres, and places of worship.
