SOLV Energy to Add 4 GW in 2024, Expands with New Projects

SOLV Energy Hits 20 GW Milestone, Targets 15+ GW by Year-End

At the RE+ event in California, SOLV Energy announced a major achievement: surpassing 20 gigawatts (GW) of awarded and installed utility-scale solar and storage projects across the U.S. As the third-largest global provider of operations and maintenance (O&M) services, the company also expects to have over 15 GW under contract and in operation by the end of the year.

SOLV Energy is on track to deliver nearly 4 GW of new capacity in 2024 alone, with an additional 3 GW of projects currently under construction across six states. This nationwide expansion includes several flagship projects: Oregon’s largest proposed solar facility (1.6 GW), significant multi-project pipelines in Texas (1.2 GW) and the Midwest (990 MW), and its first-ever projects in Arkansas and Missouri.

To support this coast-to-coast growth in its EPC services and its work on standalone BESS and high-voltage facilities, SOLV Energy is expanding its regional project teams nationwide.

SOLV Energy Expands Major EPC and O&M Portfolio

SOLV Energy has built one of the industry’s largest portfolios of EPC and O&M services, a success the company attributes to the long-lasting customer relationships developed over nearly two decades in the renewable energy sector.

The company has delivered EPC services for many notable utility projects. These include 1.3 GW of co-located solar-plus-storage in Riverside County, CA; the nation’s first solar-plus-storage peaker plant in Imperial County, CA (Vikings); and the world’s largest solar plant at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Other pioneering installations are the first tribally owned utility solar plant on the Navajo Nation in AZ (Kayenta 2), Wyoming’s first utility solar plant (Sweetwater), and the largest solar facilities in Idaho, Alabama, and Minnesota (Jackpot, Muscle Shoals, and North Star, respectively).

Large-scale solar installation

SOLV Energy’s extensive portfolio includes some of the industry’s largest solar and solar-plus-storage EPC utility projects, reflecting 20 years of successful partnerships and innovation.

“Not only did 2024 see us installing nearly two times more capacity than in 2023, but we also made significant strides to expand the regions we serve and the capabilities we can deliver to our customers. As we get together to celebrate 20 years of RE+, we also recognize countless decade-plus partnerships we’ve built. Thank you to the industry partners that have entrusted their projects to SOLV Energy — we’re proud to have earned your business!” said George Hershman, CEO of SOLV Energy.
