Voltalia actually began construction of a 19.7 MW solar project in Colombia’s Tolima region in January 2025. This project is known as the Los Venados project.
The La Colonia solar project will be located in the municipalities of Armero and Fresno, in the Tolima region. The project is expected to begin operations by the end of 2024.
