L&T Wins Key Bid on Kuwait solar project Transmission Line
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) was the lowest bidder for Kuwait’s 400 kV overhead transmission line project tied to the Al Shaqaya Solar Power Station.
The tender was received by Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy for a transmission line connecting the Al Shaqaya Solar Power Station to the Al Wafra (Z) substation. L&T’s bid was reported at KWD 1.45 million (about $135.19 million).
The project is part of Phase I of the Shagaya Renewable Energy Project, which includes a 50 MW concentrated solar power facility, a 10 MW wind farm, and a 10 MW solar facility.
