Orrön Energy Sells 91 MW Agri-Solar Project in Germany for €5.6 Million

Orrön Energy AB has finalized a significant transaction, selling a 91 MW agrivoltaic (Agri-PV) solar project located in eastern Germany to Gülermak Renewables Ltd. The deal, announced on April 16, 2026, highlights the increasing momentum behind dual-use land solutions that integrate renewable energy production with continued agricultural activity.

The project, currently at the “ready-to-permit” stage, is designed to allow for both farming and solar power generation on the same plot of land. It also includes the potential for a co-located battery storage system, enhancing its future value and contribution to grid stability. As part of the agreement, Orrön Energy will continue to manage the project’s development, with the goal of reaching the “ready-to-build” stage no later than 2027.

The financial terms of the sale involve a total consideration of up to €5.6 million, which equates to a valuation of approximately €62,000 per MW. Gülermak Renewables has made an initial payment of €2.4 million, with the remaining balance tied to the successful achievement of specific development milestones as the project advances.

This sale is a key part of Orrön Energy’s broader business model of developing and monetizing its German solar portfolio. Since the summer of 2025, the company has successfully entered agreements to divest a total of 400 MW of solar capacity in Germany. These transactions are expected to yield total proceeds of up to €23 million, with a substantial portion of that revenue, around €17 million, contingent on future project milestones. This 91 MW sale to Gülermak marks another successful step in executing this value-creation strategy.
