AAPI Leadership Reception for Agrivoltaics Africa Scheduled
The African Agrivoltaics Platform Initiative (AAPI) will convene government leaders, investors, researchers, development partners, and private-sector innovators in Kigali on September 1 for a leadership and networking reception focused on accelerating agrivoltaics across Africa. The event is organized by the Consortium for Sustainable Agrivoltaics (C4SA) and AKADEMIYA2063.

The reception, which will run from 18:00 to 20:00 CAT, is set to take place at the Fairview Building, 5th Floor Balcony, across from the Kigali Convention Centre. It will introduce AAPI’s vision, priorities, and growing network of country members and partners while recognizing founding members and launching working groups on Evidence & Capacity Building, Finance, and Value Chain Links.
Inaugural Handbook Release on Agrivoltaics Africa
A key highlight of the event will be the release of the inaugural African Handbook of Agrivoltaics, described as a practical resource for African practitioners. AAPI aims to help overcome barriers to scaling agrivoltaics in Africa by connecting solar energy generation with agricultural production and strengthening evidence, capacity, finance, and value-chain links.
