Air Products Secures Major Solar PPA in Taiwan

In a significant boost to Taiwan’s renewable energy sector, Air Products San Fu Co. Ltd., the Taiwanese subsidiary of U.S. industrial gases giant Air Products, has finalized a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tatung Forever Energy. This long-term renewable energy deal will supply a portion of the electricity for Air Products’ industrial gas production from clean solar power, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The agreement represents a key step in Air Products’ global sustainability strategy, enabling the company (NYSE: APD) to significantly reduce its operational carbon footprint in Taiwan. By securing a reliable source of solar electricity, the company is directly contributing to the nation’s ambitious goal of increasing the share of renewables in its energy mix to 20% by 2025.

Tatung Forever Energy, a subsidiary of the prominent Taiwanese conglomerate Tatung Co., will manage the solar facility supplying the power.
