Bolivia is embarking on a transformative journey with a $325 million investment in solar electrification aimed at bringing renewable energy to its isolated areas. Announced by President Luis Arce, this ambitious initiative seeks to reduce the nation’s reliance on diesel and provide substantial benefits to approximately 37,000 families. The project, named Access to Renewable Energies in Bolivia (RER), is financially supported by international partners, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the European Investment Bank, and the French Development Agency.
