Cambodia Installs Solar Irrigation at Tbong Khmum Nursery

In a significant step toward sustainable agriculture, Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment has partnered with Coca-Cola Cambodia to install a solar irrigation system at the country’s first regional nursery. Formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding, this initiative underscores a long-term commitment to environmental conservation and green enterprise.

Located in the Preah Theat commune of Ou Raing Ov district, Tbong Khmum province, this solar irrigation system is a pioneering project for Cambodia. It supports the country’s first large-scale regional nursery, which is set to expand to five locations, including Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, Koh Kong, and Mondulkiri. Together, these nurseries will produce at least 10 million seedlings annually for Cambodians to plant in their homes, schools, and public spaces.
