Guinea is making significant strides in renewable energy development with the approval of an 84 MW solar power project near the cities of Kankan and Siguiri in the northeast. The solar farm will be developed in two 42 MW phases, with the first slated to begin in early 2025 and the second shortly after. Full operational capacity is expected by 2027.
