Rimini to Host KEY 2026 Energy Transition Expo in March
The global push towards a sustainable future is gaining momentum, and from March 4th to 6th, all eyes in the clean energy sector will be on Rimini, Italy. The city is set to host KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2026, a landmark event dedicated to the technologies, services, and integrated solutions driving the green transition.
Organized by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the expo will take place at the expansive Rimini Exhibition Center, transforming it into a hub for innovation and collaboration. This event is not just a trade show; it’s a comprehensive platform for the entire clean energy ecosystem to connect, share knowledge, and forge partnerships that will shape the future of energy.
A Global Showcase for the KEY 2026 Energy Expo
KEY 2026 promises to be a significant event on the international calendar, boasting impressive scale and scope. The expo will feature approximately 1,000 exhibiting brands spread across 24 halls and 125,000 square meters of exhibition space. Highlighting its global appeal, 32% of these exhibitors will be international, bringing diverse perspectives and technologies to the forefront.
The event is structured around seven key sectors that represent the pillars of the energy transition:
* Solar
* Wind
* Hydrogen
* Energy Efficiency
* Energy Storage Systems
* Electric Mobility
* Sustainable Cities
To help attendees navigate this vast landscape, KEY will offer specialized themed tours, including the Energy Efficiency Expo (EFFI), the Hydrogen Power Expo (HYPE), and a focus on the Sustainable City concept.
Fostering Dialogue and International Partnerships at KEY 2026 Energy Expo
Beyond the exhibition floor, KEY 2026 will host over 150 events, conferences, and workshops. These sessions will tackle the most pressing issues in the sector, from financing the energy transition and exploring new investment models in renewables to developing effective cost-control solutions.
A central theme of the expo is international collaboration, with a particular focus on strengthening ties between Europe and Africa. The Africa Investment HUB will be a dedicated space for this purpose, featuring participation from key associations from Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, and South Africa. This initiative aims to position Europe as a global leader in the energy transition while fostering mutually beneficial partnerships. Another notable collaboration to be highlighted is the Japan-Italy partnership focused on advancing hydrogen technology.
Major industry players will be in attendance, with companies like Envision Group set to showcase their latest innovations in energy storage and wind power solutions, demonstrating the cutting-edge technology that is making the green transition a reality.
As Alessandra Astolfi, IEG’s Global Exhibition Director, noted, the event aims to enhance European industrial competitiveness and serve as a crucial platform for strategic exchanges between key stakeholders. By building on the success of previous editions, KEY 2026 is poised to accelerate business networking, drive innovation, and solidify the international partnerships necessary for a cleaner, more sustainable world.
