Iran’s 150 megawatts (MW) of new solar power capacity, distributed across eight provinces, represents a substantial expansion of its renewable energy infrastructure. The new solar power plants are located in South Khorasan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Kerman, Yazd, Isfahan, Fars, and Tehran. Interim targets for 2025 include 4,500 MW of solar and 3,000 MW of wind power capacity.
