Lithuania solar project: European Energy Launches 78 MW Initiative

Lithuania Solar Project Overview

European Energy has launched the Anykščių hybrid solar-and-storage project in Lithuania, which combines a 78 MWp solar park with a 25 MW / 65 MWh battery. The project began operations in June 2026.

Lithuania Solar Project Technology and Management

The Anykščių project is part of a broader hybrid portfolio in the Baltic region. European Energy has partnered with Capalo AI to optimize the trading and management of this project, as well as another hybrid initiative in Latvia. Capalo AI will coordinate aspects such as battery dispatch, solar output, wholesale trading, and balancing-market participation.

Lithuania Solar Project Regional Context

The hybrid solar park in Lithuania is complemented by the Saldus Hybrid Park in Latvia, which features 65.7 MWp of solar capacity along with a 46 MW / 105 MWh storage system. The combined efforts of these projects are aimed at enhancing energy storage and renewable energy integration within the region.

Future of Lithuania Solar Project Hybrid Systems

The Anykščių and Saldus projects are positioned to support grid stability and effective renewable energy use, contributing to the growing trend of hybrid energy systems across Europe.
