METLEN Completes 12MWp Solar Park Italy: A Stunning Step Forward in Puglia
European renewable energy firm METLEN has announced the completion of its inaugural project in Italy, the 12 MWp San Severo solar park. Situated in the sun-rich Puglia region, this development marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and its strategic entry into the Italian energy market. The project was executed under METLEN’s Asset Rotation Model, a key component of its business strategy.
Powering Thousands of Homes and Advancing National Goals
Completed in mid-July 2025, the San Severo solar park is projected to generate an impressive 21.97 GWh of clean electricity annually. This output is sufficient to meet the energy needs of approximately 7,846 local households, significantly contributing to the region’s sustainable energy supply. The project directly supports Italy’s ambitious National Energy and Climate Plan, which targets achieving 72% of its energy from renewable sources by 2030.
