Three school districts in New York State have opted to join the Nexamp solar program, aiming to lower annual expenses while contributing to the growth of renewable energy on the grid.

Three New York school districts—Greenville Central, Ballston Spa Central and Auburn Enlarged City—recently signed long-term agreements with Nexamp. Each district will subscribe to a separate local project, with allocations tailored to meet their current energy needs.

Greenville Central School District has subscribed to a portion of the 7.6 MW solar farm in Rosendale, NY, Ballston Spa Central School District is subscribed to a portion of the 5.5 MW solar farm in Ballston Spa, NY, and Auburn Enlarged City School District is subscribed to a portion of the 7.3 MW solar farm in Champlain, NY.
By subscribing to portions of these solar farms, each school district helps make community solar available to families in their area by supporting current and future projects. Additional capacity is open to any eligible individuals or groups. Nexamp has assisted numerous schools, universities, and other educational institutions in finding savings through community solar.
