Slovenia Floating Solar: Building a 140 MW Plant

Slovenia is set to construct a 140 MW floating solar power plant on the reservoir of the Brežice hydropower plant. This ambitious project represents a €150 million investment in renewable energy. Spearheading the development is a consortium comprising the Slovenian state-owned hydropower plant operator HESS and the private company GEN-I.

This initiative aligns with Slovenia’s broader goals to expand its solar energy capacity.
