SolarEdge, an Israel-based inverter manufacturer, has released a new mobile app designed for residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) solar installers.
SolarEdge Unveils All-in-One App for Solar Installers
SolarEdge Technologies has unveiled SolarEdge Go, a mobile app that streamlines key operations for solar installers. This all-in-one platform integrates installation, commissioning, management, and servicing processes into a single, unified platform.
By providing advanced remote management and monitoring features, the app helps reduce unnecessary on-site visits and enhances overall operational efficiency. In the coming months, SolarEdge has announced the app will also incorporate the full functionality of its existing SetApp and Mapper applications.
Remote Access and Fleet Management Features
SolarEdge Go will continue to roll out new features, including advanced remote access capabilities that give installers control over operations from any location. These tools include direct access to inverter settings, remote diagnostics like error logs, and configuration adjustments.
The app’s fleet management tools feature a real-time interactive map, instant access to site information, and continuous system uptime monitoring with alerts. This ensures prompt issue resolution and helps maintain optimal fleet performance.
It also simplifies day-to-day site management, allowing solar installers to create, edit, or select sites, register solar inverters, and manage permissions for remote site access directly from their mobile device.
Streamlined Installation and Commissioning
The app streamlines the entire site installation process, from initial site creation and equipment setup to user management and final commissioning.
It accelerates commissioning with features like quick Power Optimizer pairing and the ability to schedule system upgrades after the initial setup is complete. Installers can also manage grid settings, configure equipment, and generate detailed commissioning reports to verify a proper installation.
Advanced Monitoring and Customer Support
For ongoing operations, the app provides advanced site and fleet monitoring with detailed data on system performance, energy production, consumption, and historical trends. For larger commercial and industrial sites, it delivers key performance indicators and environmental metrics for deeper insights.
To improve customer relations, solar installers can also contact their clients directly through the app, streamlining communication for service and support requests.
“Our installers remain central to everything we do, serving as the frontline in bringing high-efficiency DC-optimised solar and storage technologies to homes and businesses. With the app, installers can now work faster, smarter and with more flexibility — which can make a meaningful impact on their business’ bottom line,” said Christelle Barnes, UK Country Manager, SolarEdge.
