TCIL Seeks Consortium for 5 MW Solar Power Project at SECL Mines

Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL) has issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for consortium partnerships to develop a 5 MW grid-connected solar power plant at Vivek Nagar Mines in the Sohagpur Area of Southeastern Coalfields Limited.

TCIL will lead the consortium through the project’s design, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Following this, TCIL will manage a comprehensive 10-year Operation and Maintenance (O&M) phase.

The financial criteria for bidding are stringent. Applicants must demonstrate an average annual financial turnover of at least 11.40 crore rupees (approximately $2.4 million) over the last three financial years, maintain a positive net worth, and show a profit before tax (PBT) in two of those three years. In a move to encourage innovation from newer companies, the turnover requirement for startups is reduced to 9.5 crore rupees.
