Vietnam’s Creative Source Rooftop Solar Project Generates 342
In a powerful demonstration of corporate commitment to renewable energy, the Creative Source Vietnam facility in Thai Binh is making significant strides in sustainable manufacturing. The first phase of its ambitious rooftop solar project is now generating an average of approximately 342,588 kWh of clean electricity per month, establishing a stable and green energy foundation for its operations.
Powering Progress with Vietnam rooftop solar
This impressive energy output is the result of a carefully planned installation across three of the company’s factory buildings. Implemented by SolarBK, the project boasts a total installed capacity of 3,628 kWp. The initiative operates under an Energy Service Company (ESCO) model, a strategic financial arrangement that allows businesses to deploy energy efficiency projects with minimal upfront capital investment.
The contract for the project was signed in March 2021, with operations commencing after the finalization of technical specifications in February 2022. This swift timeline highlights the efficiency and viability of large-scale commercial solar installations in Vietnam’s burgeoning industrial sector.
A Measurable Impact on Sustainability with Vietnam rooftop solar
Beyond securing energy stability for its manufacturing processes, the Creative Source project delivers substantial environmental benefits. The clean energy generated is estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 4,481 tons annually. To put this figure into perspective, this reduction is equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting over 197,000 trees.
This initiative showcases a forward-thinking approach, where sustainability is integrated directly into the company’s long-term operational strategy. By harnessing solar power, Creative Source Vietnam not only lowers its carbon footprint but also gains a reliable energy source, insulating itself from potential fluctuations in the traditional energy market. This project serves as a compelling example for other manufacturers in the region, proving that investing in renewable energy is a sound decision for both the planet and the bottom line.
