TotalEnergies Launches the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm to Boost Renewable Energy in Taiwan
TotalEnergies has officially launched the Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan, marking a significant step forward in the company’s renewable energy initiatives and its commitment to sustainable energy.
As the company’s second offshore wind farm in the region, the facility is equipped with 80 turbines that have a combined capacity of 640 MW, making it one of the largest wind farms in Asia.
This ambitious project demonstrates TotalEnergies’ dedication to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and supports global efforts to combat climate change. The Yunlin Offshore Wind Farm is expected to produce enough clean energy to power approximately 450,000 homes each year, significantly reducing carbon emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.

For instance, the company partnered with Aljomaih Energy & Water Company (AEW) to secure the Rabigh 2 Solar Project in Saudi Arabia, which has a capacity of 300 MW. This project is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a plan designed to increase the share of renewable energy in the country’s energy mix.
