Solarvest has successfully secured an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) contract valued at RM320 million for this initiative, awarded by Wawasan Demi Sdn Bhd.

This project builds on Solarvest’s pioneering experience in this field, including their work on Malaysia’s first and largest floating solar plant in Dengkil, Selangor. The new floating solar farm in Kampar will be constructed on a large body of water, supplying clean power directly to the national grid. With an expected operational date by 2027, it will play a crucial role in Malaysia’s efforts to expand its floating solar capacity and meet its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45% by 2030.
