As part of a significant CSR initiative, WorldLink Communications has successfully installed a 3-kilowatt solar power system at the Nanikoṭ Basic Health Post. Located in Pachaljharana Rural Municipality–7, Kalikot, this facility serves a community that has long struggled with unreliable electricity.
The installation goes beyond just providing power; it directly addresses a core challenge for the health post. Alongside the solar panels, WorldLink also supplied a deep freezer, ensuring that the facility has the necessary infrastructure for the safe and effective storage of vaccines and other temperature-sensitive medicines. This intervention is set to dramatically improve the quality and reliability of healthcare services available to local residents.
Enhancing Community Well-being with Nepal solar health post
Prior to this installation, the Nanikoṭ Basic Health Post faced significant hurdles due to inconsistent power. The inability to guarantee constant refrigeration compromised the integrity of their medical supplies, posing a risk to public health initiatives like vaccination programs.
The new solar energy system provides a stable and independent source of electricity, freeing the health post from the unpredictability of the local grid. This ensures that essential medical supplies are kept safe, enhancing the clinic’s capacity to serve the community effectively and ultimately save lives.
Expanding Support to Digital Education
WorldLink’s commitment to the Kalikot region extends beyond healthcare. In the same community, the company has also championed digital education at the Shree Pangeli Devi Secondary School.
In partnership with a local entity, WorldLink facilitated online English classes for 25 students using a smart board, bridging the educational gap for children in this remote area. At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded certificates, celebrating their engagement with new learning technologies.
