The core of the expanded partnership is an amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) originally established on November 19, 2024. Finalized around mid-May 2026, this updated agreement formally adds the 404 MW Nyera Amari I & II Integrated Hydropower Project to their joint development portfolio. This new addition boosts the total planned hydropower capacity from a previous target of 4,500 MW to an impressive 5,033 MW.
