Madayn’s Oman Solar Energy Hub in Suhar
Oman’s Madayn has unveiled a five-year plan for 90 infrastructure projects across its industrial cities, including a major solar energy hub in Suhar Industrial City. The solar project is described as the largest solar energy development in Oman’s industrial zones and is expected to supply clean power to over 200 industrial units.

The initiative aligns with Madayn’s updated Vision 2040 strategy and its 2026–2030 roadmap. The programme is organized around three pillars: development and operations, institutional excellence, and environmental protection.
Size and Scope of the Oman Solar Energy Hub
The Suhar solar project covers approximately 1.45 million square metres. Additionally, Madayn is conducting related works in Suhar Industrial City, which includes an infrastructure rehabilitation study for Phases 1 to 6 and the completion of infrastructure works for Phase 7.
