GameChange Solar Wins Tracker Order for the Benban solar project in Egypt
GameChange Solar, a leading global supplier of solar tracker and racking systems, has announced a significant new order, securing a 258 MWp contract to supply its solar trackers for a project within the landmark Benban Solar Park in Egypt. This achievement reinforces the company’s expanding footprint in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The project is being developed by Infinity Power, a key player in renewable energy across the continent, with Hassan Allam serving as the trusted EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) partner. The deployment of GameChange Solar’s advanced tracker technology is set to optimize the plant’s energy output by orienting the solar panels to follow the sun’s path throughout the day, maximizing electricity generation.
A Continued Partnership in Egypt’s Renewable Future with Benban solar project
This 258 MWp order marks GameChange Solar’s fourth major project in Egypt, demonstrating a sustained and successful presence in one of Africa’s most vibrant solar markets. The Benban Solar Park, located in Egypt’s Aswan Governorate, is one of the largest solar installations in the world, making any contribution to its capacity a noteworthy event in the global renewables sector.
This latest success follows a series of strategic wins for the company in the region. It builds on the momentum from previous announcements, such as a substantial 1.25 GW order for the Abydos II tracker system in July 2025 and a 450 MWp tracker supply agreement for a Green Ammonia Project in Oman in June 2025. These projects highlight the growing demand for GameChange Solar’s reliable and efficient technology in large-scale utility projects across the MENA region.
Strengthening Regional Presence and Supply Chains for Benban solar project
GameChange Solar’s commitment to the Middle East and North Africa is further supported by strategic investments in local manufacturing, including an increased production presence in Saudi Arabia. This localization helps streamline supply chains, reduce logistical complexities, and better serve the rapidly growing pipeline of solar projects in the area.
As Egypt continues to advance its ambitious renewable energy targets under its Integrated Sustainable Energy Strategy (ISES) to 2035, partnerships with proven technology leaders like GameChange Solar are crucial. This new order not only contributes significant clean energy to Egypt’s national grid but also solidifies GameChange Solar’s position as a key enabler of the region’s clean energy transition.
