The system will also feature a modern 4kW bi-directional charger for electric vehicles, with any energy surplus being fed into the grid. This installation is projected to generate over 423 MWh of electricity annually, leading to financial savings of BAM 169,200 (approximately EUR 86,000) and cutting carbon dioxide emissions by 345 tonnes each year.

The specifications for the Zenica Cantonal Hospital project include 350 kW of solar power, a 350 kW inverter, and a 400 kWh battery. Like the University of Sarajevo project, this installation will also feature a 4kW bi-directional charger for electric vehicles, with surplus energy supplied to the grid. For a critical facility like a hospital, the inclusion of a battery storage system is crucial, enhancing energy resilience and ensuring a stable power supply for essential medical services.

These projects are part of the “Systematic Management of Energy and Emissions in the Canton of Central Bosnia,” supported by the Government of the Republic of Slovakia and implemented by the UNDP.
