Romanian EPC contractor Parapet has secured a landmark agreement with Alerion Clean Power, an Italian-based renewable energy company, to build 80.8 MWp of solar capacity. Through seven distinct contracts, Parapet will deliver turnkey solar plants across Romania and Italy, managing the projects from initial development through to final commissioning.

This significant partnership will see Parapet provide comprehensive turnkey services for the 80.8 MWp portfolio. The projects will be strategically located in Romaniaโs Teleorman and Cฤlฤraศi counties and Italyโs Puglia and Tuscany regions, covering a vast area of approximately 110 hectares.
The installations will feature advanced technology to maximize energy generation, utilizing around 120,000 bifacial photovoltaic modules mounted on single-axis tracking systems. This setup allows the panels to capture sunlight from both sides and follow the sun’s path, significantly boosting efficiency. The complex solar panel manufacturing process for such high-tech modules is a testament to the industry’s innovation.
A notable part of the agreement is a 2 MWp photovoltaic (PV) plant in Italy, which includes a 10-year maintenance service agreement. Furthermore, one of the Italian sites at SantโAgata will pioneer a hybrid energy system by integrating the new solar farm with an existing 20 MW wind farm, a move designed to enhance grid stability and ensure more consistent power output.
