By the end of June 2026, India’s cumulative solar capacity reached **165 GW**. According to reports, **83%** of this capacity was attributed to large-scale projects, while rooftop solar installations accounted for **17%**. Solar PV accounted for **30%** of India’s total installed power capacity and **57%** of its renewable energy capacity as of mid-2026.
