$250 Million Investment Announced for Naryn Region Plant
Kyrgyzstan has announced a $250 million investment for the construction of a solar power plant in the village of Ortok, located in the Kochkor district of the Naryn region. The announcement was made by President Sadyr Japarov during his working visit to the Naryn region on June 23, 2026.
325 MW Facility on 455 Hectares by AST Imperial Stroy
The agricultural infrastructure will cover a total area of 455 hectares and is designed with a capacity of 325 megawatts (MW). The project is being implemented by LLC ‘AST Imperial Stroy’, which is responsible for developing the facility.
Largest Investment Project in Kochkor District
This solar power plant is regarded as one of the largest investment projects in the Kochkor district. The establishment of such a facility is expected to promote energy self-sufficiency for Kyrgyzstan while contributing to the region’s economic development.
