Astronergy has announced a new partnership with Insoelec Solar, a leading Peruvian provider of renewable energy solutions. This collaboration is set to advance the development of sustainable energy in Peru and across Latin America.
Astronergy and Insoelec Solar Deepen Partnership
To mark their strengthened partnership, Insoelec Solar has ordered 3.2 MW of Astronergy’s ASTRO series modules. The order comprises 3 MW of ASTRO N and ASTRO G12 modules for industrial and commercial applications, alongside 0.2 MW of ASTRO G6 modules for residential installations.
Since the start of the year, Astronergy has secured orders for nearly 7 MW of modules from Insoelec Solar—including both N-type and P-type modules—for various projects in Peru.
Peru’s Growing Solar Market and PV Module Imports
Peru’s solar market has grown significantly, reaching a total installed capacity of 1.1 GW by the end of 2022, according to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Photovoltaic (PV) modules accounted for 31% of the country’s renewable energy generation, second only to hydropower.
In 2022, Peru imported approximately 500 MW of solar modules, with N-type modules making up 60% of the total. Between January and August 2023, the country imported another 180 MW, where N-type modules comprised 50%. This trend highlights the increasing demand for more efficient and advanced solar technology in Peru. Despite its relatively small size, the Peruvian solar market is expanding rapidly.

ASTRO Series to Support Peru’s Energy Transformation
Astronergy’s ASTRO series modules are widely recognized for their high efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness. The ASTRO N module, featuring N-type TOPCon technology, offers enhanced performance and a longer lifespan, making it ideal for large-scale industrial and commercial projects. Meanwhile, the ASTRO G12 and G6 modules are designed to meet the diverse energy needs of residential and commercial customers with reliable and sustainable solutions.
Deploying these modules is expected to significantly enhance Peru’s renewable energy infrastructure, helping the country reduce its carbon footprint and promote sustainable development.
Astronergy remains committed to providing innovative, high-quality solar solutions. The company looks forward to strengthening its partnership with Insoelec Solar and supporting Peru’s transition toward a cleaner, more sustainable energy future.
