Dhash PV Invests INR 346.35 Crore in Solar PV Plant in Sira

Dhash PV Technologies has committed a significant investment of INR 346.35 crore (approximately $41.4 million) to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Sira Industrial Area of Tumkur, Karnataka. This major project aims to significantly bolster India’s domestic production capabilities for critical solar PV components, aligning with the nation’s push for self-reliance in the renewable energy sector.

How Dhash PV Invests INR 346.35 Crore in Solar PV Plant in Sira

The new plant is set to become a powerhouse for Balance of System (BoS) components. Upon completion, the facility will have the capacity to produce an impressive 50 GW of solar PV junction boxes annually. In addition, it will manufacture 1,000 kilometers of solar cables daily and fully indigenous diodes, addressing a crucial gap in the local supply chain. This move is a direct contribution to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and is poised to reduce the country’s dependence on imported solar hardware.

The economic impact on the Sira region and the broader Tumkur district is expected to be substantial. The project is projected to create over 2,500 jobs, providing vital employment opportunities for both skilled and semi-skilled workers. This influx of investment and job creation will stimulate local economic growth and foster skill development within the community, establishing a robust industrial ecosystem centered around renewable energy.
