MASERU – The government of Lesotho has issued a request for a consultancy firm to carry out two studies on the viability of floating solar photovoltaic projects, African Energy reported on May 24.
The studies are intended to assess the technical and economic potential for developing floating solar installations in the country.
This initiative follows other recent solar developments in Lesotho, including the launch of the Ha Ramarothole Solar PV Park, a 30 MW facility. In 2025, the government also announced a consultancy for a separate solar tender.
