Namibia has launched **Africa’s first integrated green hydrogen facility** in Walvis Bay. This new facility features a **5 MWp solar park**, a **5 MW proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyser**, and **5.9 MWh of battery storage**. Covering an area of **6.5 hectares**, the solar park consists of approximately **7,000 solar panels**. Future Expansion Plans for the Namibia Solar Park
The company behind the project has expressed ambitions to scale the installation to **250 MW**, with plans for further expansion to **500 MW** in the future.
