Founder Group Secures $68M for 100MW Solar Farm in Malaysia

Founder Group Limited has been awarded a conditional Letter of Award valued at approximately US$68 million (RM299 million) to serve as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner for a new 100-megawatt solar farm in Tanjung Malim, Malaysia. The large-scale project is slated to be built on a 900-acre site with a dedicated purpose: providing an exclusive power supply to an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) data center located in Enstek City.

This initiative is a strategic collaboration with Hexatoff Group Sdn. Bhd., the developer of the AI data center. Hexatoff, a prominent infrastructure firm holding Malaysia’s highest-grade G7 construction license, has a long-term energy supply agreement with Founder Group for this project. The partnership directly supports Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR), reinforcing the nation’s goal to become a leading hub for AI and digital infrastructure in Southeast Asia by coupling technological growth with sustainable energy sources.

A Milestone for Renewable Energy

The project highlights a growing trend where corporate sustainability goals, particularly within energy-intensive sectors like data centers and semiconductors, are driving demand for clean power.
