Solar mini-grids Guyana to benefit 12,000 residents with upgrades

Upgrades to Solar Mini-Grids Guyana

Guyana is upgrading 11 solar photovoltaic mini-grids in Regions 1, 2, 6, and 9. The project is expected to benefit more than 12,000 residents in hinterland and riverine communities. The upgrades will increase solar capacity from 108.8 kW peak to 528.8 kW peak and provide 24-hour electricity to 116 public facilities.
