Uzbekistan renewable energy nears 30% capacity ahead of 2030

Uzbekistan has achieved nearly 30% renewable power capacity in its electricity generation mix, with a national objective to exceed 50% by 2030. This shift is primarily driven by the implementation of large-scale solar and wind power projects, which have increased the share of green energy close to this 30% threshold.
