This new installation at the Agrovit facility is engineered to supply the peak energy needs for the dairy unit, the repair workshop, and up to 60% of the consumption for the 20,000-ton capacity grain cleaning facility.
Oleksandr Sahaydyak, the Director of Agrain’s Elevator Division, highlighted how the solar power plant enhances energy independence and stability at the Cherkasy elevator. The plant is expected to generate approximately 170,000 kWh annually, which will be used to power the elevator’s operations during warmer months.

This is Agrain’s second large-scale solar energy project, following the successful launch of a 745 kW plant in December 2024 at its pig complex in the Odesa region. That facility covered up to 45% of the complex’s daily electricity needs during daytime hours.
This phased approach to development, scaling investment as needs grow, is a smart strategy employed in projects globally, including massive undertakings like the 300 MW plant in Kyrgyzstan.
